What are the different kinds of recreational boats?
A lot of people take up boating as a form of recreation. There are specific boats which are meant especially for those who boat for purposes of recreation. These boats are built for activities like fishing, cruising, skiing and so on.
All Purpose fishing boats are meant for those people who love fishing. These fishing boats have large outboard motors, and also a high freeboard as compared to bass boats.
Bowriders are also recreation boats which are high powered boats and also have an open seating arrangement with plenty of space. These also have jet drives.
Cruisers are very popular boats used by those who like boating for recreation. These have an ample amount of pace with room for a galley as well. They even have places for sleeping. Cruisers are meant for moving smoothly on open waters and is largely for a relaxing boating ride or vacation.
Day sailers are for riding in the morning or during the day. Thus these boats do not have any form of arrangement for long and extended trips. These are often used by people to master the basic skills required for boating. Day sailers are also often used to compete in races and regattas.
Pontoon boast are usually meant for inland waters which are well sheltered. These boats have couches for seats, coolers, sun awnings and so on. These boats are very stable and are meant for relaxing boat rides on calm waters.
Then there are the water ski boats which have very powerful inboard motors and are specially made for people who water ski and thus have high speeds. These boats also have a huge wake. These boats are also used by wakeboarders.
