The Detested British Tourist

Great Britain is a proud nation who’s has ruled sea, countries and continents; her people have reached out into every corner of the world and are extremely well travelled but how are we viewed upon in these pastures new?

Expedia took a survey asking which European country had the best garmented tourist, Germany and France came first due to their stylish traits from channel and Gucci whilst England took last place status and was crowned the deed of the “world’s worst dressed tourist nation” which we think is absurd and will not be taken lying down.

Being a Briton myself i feel wronged by the title personally but then i take into consideration some of the clothes iv’e seen and it makes sense why we’ve been slapped with the title.

an utter sin which we British absolutely love is the killer combo sandals and socks’, yes hearing them two words in the same sentences also makes me shiver and cringe, but in tradition it’s our trademark attire which combines sensibility with comfort.

We always complain about the weather at home as it’s forever miserable and rarely sunny, forever raining and cold but when we eventually get to go abroad on sun Antigua holidaysor  Dominican Republic holidays we mostly avoid the hot sun by caking ourselves in layers of sun cream which make us appear pink and blotchy like we have skin problems, or we do the total opposite and apply no cream at all and fry like a sausage until we’re lobster red, tight skinned and in complete agony! Oh there’s no better way to compliment our prized attire.

Our Behaviour is absurd when we visit foreign countries, we spend our evenings drinking and running red faced around local towns and cities in complete and utter riot before passing out drunk in the hotel room, waking up at mid day looking like death and heading straight back out again for breakfast feeling as rough as toast, isn’t it appealing how class and culture just excludes from us aye, i hope your proud to to British!

The one best thing about the trains is that they can cater for many holiday requirements, The trains are one of a kind and are like nothing you have ever seen before! The double decker coaches are lavish and spacious offering the freedom to walk around instead of a tight linear path through the carriage way which you usually expect on most trains. The staff our at your every beck and call and will serve you beverages and food throughout the journey. The authentic Canadian cuisine is prepared in the on-board kitchens, the food is all proudly sourced for Canada and most likely to come from the rural areas you are likely to see on your trip.

Canada Rail Tours Trips are very popular around the Christmas weeks as the Rocky mountaineer trains host Christmas themed charity fund raising extravaganza. Shows and Entertainment is on at different times throughout the day, a Performance stage is located in the “Gold Lead Carriage” of the train.
